Peak-to-average power ratio of a Zipper signal

چکیده
In this paper we investigate the peak-to-average power ratio (PAR) and its effects on the performance of Zipper-VDSL systems. The spectrum and the out of band power when passing through a nonlinear device is also investigated. We further evaluate the performance with a recently proposed PAR reduction technique for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). PAR reduction of Zipper-VDSL minimizes the distortion and out of band power of the signal, reducing the dynamic range of transceiver components and near-end cross talk NEXT.

SNR Maximization at CSI Aware AF Relay
This paper concerns two-hop communication over relay-assisted Block fading channel. It is assumed there is not a direct link between the transmitter and the affiliated destination and the communication occurs in two hops through the use of a relay, where the amplify and forward (AF) strategy is employed at this node. In this case, in a Rayleigh block fading channel, the optimal weight function ...
متن کاملSelective Tone Reservation method for PAPR reduction in SFBC-OFDM systems
The high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and MIMO-OFDM systems reduces the system efficiency. In this paper, an extension of Tone Reservation (TR) method is introduced for PAPR reduction in Space Frequency Block Coded OFDM (SFBC-OFDM) systems. The proposed algorithm is based on a time domain kernel which is added to the signal of the anten...
متن کاملAchievement of Minimum Seismic Damage for Zipper Braced Frames Based on Uniform Deformations Theory
When structures are subjected to strong ground motion excitations, structural elements may be prone to yielding, and consequently experience significant levels of inelastic behavior. The effects of inelastic behavior on the distribution of peak floor loads are not explicitly accounted for in current seismic code procedures. During recent years, many studies have been conducted to develop new de...
متن کاملPeak to Average Power Ratio Reduction in OFDM System by Clipping and Filtering
This paper results clipping and filtering technique for peak to average power ratio (PAPR) reduction in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). Our simulation results show that this technique removes inband and out of band distortion along with 1dB reduction in peak to average power ratio when crest ratio changes from 1.4 to 1.2. KeywordsClipping, Crest ratio, Orthogonal frequency di...
متن کاملPeak to average power ratio reduction of OFDM signals using peak reduction carriers
A technique is described for a better than 5 dB reduction in the Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) of an OFDM signal. The optimal amplitude and phase of additional peak reduction carriers (PRC) is obtained using a codebook, which is obtained using a search of all possible signal combinations.
